About Me

My photo
Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
I grew up in the dusty streets of Soshanguve, a township in Pretoria; South Africa. Grew up with my mother who is an amazing woman that raised my brother and I all by herself. For curiosity reasons, my parents are divorced and my mother is just amazing enough to look after the both of us. I found out at a young age that I'd lost my sister and faced with numerous other challenges growing up, poetry was my way out. That played a big role in who I am today and has earned me a few achievements, the biggest being granted the opportunity of being a published poet in an Anthology called "Daybreak" and having earned other achievements and also making a start of writing for a few artists and producers. I'm too a daughter, a friend, an aunt, a blessing, a miracle, a lyricist, and therefore, a lyrical miracle. I'm not unique because I'm not like everyone else 'cause everyone's unique... Get me?? I love music, i love drama, i love basketball (i DO play it but I'm no player), I love my mother, I love myself and my first love, i love poetry...

"We used to smile with our hearts..."

Soldiers of House...

Members of an army is what we are

An army that knows how we feel when we don’t

An army that shares our pain and yet pleasures our hearts

An army that shelters the heart yet loves unconditionally

This army is house and we are the soldiers

A continuous blend of melodic heart beats

Of soul, lounge to deep and tribal to feel

With deejays that make love to you, undress you and touch your soul

We are the fighters of pure soulistic music, together an army

We are soldiers of house

Bringing feelings of exhilaration, satisfaction, redemption and liberation

House is tenderness, compassion, neurotic and enticing

With a cluster of contrasting beings that share a fanaticism

A fortified cluster is fused together by not a genre but zeal

We are the soldiers of house

We are a nation of united souls

Brought together by zeal of passion

An army of melodic heart beats that enjoy the very same tempo

The rhythm of our feelings can only prove that we indeed are...

Soldiers of house

For a Second...

For a second there, I forgot why I'm supposed to let go of you..

I forgot how hurt I used to be..

I forgot how I was put to sleep..

I forgot how I was never supposed to wake up nor feel..

For a second I forgot how I used to see myself through your crystal eyes...

And yet I forgot how I used to shed tears through mine..

For a second I forgot why I'm supposed to be happy as opposed to being shattered..

For those crystals were truly shattered..

For a second I forgot how I was hugged with courage, kissed with a smile and pierced with a knife...

I forgot why I chose you, for it is not you that deserves I..

But for eye to see who you really are whereas it got me in a critical condition 'cause IsawU..

For a second I forgot what it was like to be bliss..

I forgot what it was like to be myself..

Strong, passionate, ambitious and independent..

Oh, I forgot what it was like to be genuine..

Just for a second...
