About Me

My photo
Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
I grew up in the dusty streets of Soshanguve, a township in Pretoria; South Africa. Grew up with my mother who is an amazing woman that raised my brother and I all by herself. For curiosity reasons, my parents are divorced and my mother is just amazing enough to look after the both of us. I found out at a young age that I'd lost my sister and faced with numerous other challenges growing up, poetry was my way out. That played a big role in who I am today and has earned me a few achievements, the biggest being granted the opportunity of being a published poet in an Anthology called "Daybreak" and having earned other achievements and also making a start of writing for a few artists and producers. I'm too a daughter, a friend, an aunt, a blessing, a miracle, a lyricist, and therefore, a lyrical miracle. I'm not unique because I'm not like everyone else 'cause everyone's unique... Get me?? I love music, i love drama, i love basketball (i DO play it but I'm no player), I love my mother, I love myself and my first love, i love poetry...

There's gotta be someone for me...

There's gotta be someone that was born...
Not created nor made, but took place...
Conceived through intercourse of reliance, passion and blessing
There's gotta be someone that cried
As a consequence of pain, surrender and joy where the drops signify fire where one can see a salty smile
There's gotta be someone...
Someone for me...

Someone that crawled...
Slow movements into a meaningful walk where we can lift our hearts step-by-step with understanding that we will hit rock bottom...
Sit... Someone who waits to run... not away but to you...

There's gotta be someone for me...
Someone whose passionate and shows the strong emotion...
Of listening, not hearing.
Feeling, not touching.
Observing, not seeing.
Sensing, not knowing.

There's gotta be someone that doesn't want to think it but to be...
Someone that's for me, not by me

Shouts of silence because I'm for me...
