About Me

My photo
Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
I grew up in the dusty streets of Soshanguve, a township in Pretoria; South Africa. Grew up with my mother who is an amazing woman that raised my brother and I all by herself. For curiosity reasons, my parents are divorced and my mother is just amazing enough to look after the both of us. I found out at a young age that I'd lost my sister and faced with numerous other challenges growing up, poetry was my way out. That played a big role in who I am today and has earned me a few achievements, the biggest being granted the opportunity of being a published poet in an Anthology called "Daybreak" and having earned other achievements and also making a start of writing for a few artists and producers. I'm too a daughter, a friend, an aunt, a blessing, a miracle, a lyricist, and therefore, a lyrical miracle. I'm not unique because I'm not like everyone else 'cause everyone's unique... Get me?? I love music, i love drama, i love basketball (i DO play it but I'm no player), I love my mother, I love myself and my first love, i love poetry...

I'm Not a Female

I'm not a female
I don't bear offspring
I don't produce eggs
I don't have hips, no
Because I'm not a female

I'm not cute
I'm not beautiful
I'm not voluptuous, no
Because I'm not a female

I'm pregnant with endless thoughts...
Thoughts that I've sold to produce eggs of red yolk called love
I'm a prostitute through my thoughts because I've got voluptuous hips that are filled with fat intelligence, ambition, drive and love
I'm not a female, no...
I've got internal beauty that shines through my dark toned skin
And this light, portrayed as handsome...
I do a man's job, no...
Because I'm not a female

I'm more than that, not a prostitute, no...
I'm not for sale...
Yes, I'm not a female...

  1. I am almost in tears...yissus...you have hit the nail on the head...we all not females...but we are smart, intelligent, independent beings with ambition to be more than just child bearers, more than just objects to the male species, and certainly to be more than just our voluptous hips.
